Leveraging on his experience in the financial planning services industry for more than two decades, Victor ventured into the precious metals business by establishing the company in 2009. He was instrumental in the formation of the company as well as laying out the concept and business model by integrating a secured online retail platform, secured logistics services and secured storage services for the mass market via smart partnerships / alliances with international mints and refineries as well as companies such as Le Freeport, Fedex, UPS, UnionPay, DBS Bank and UOB Bank Singapore that provided the secured payment gateway solutions for customers. Pulling together his know how and alliances in the precious metals industry, Victor launched The Singapore Precious Metals Exchange (SGPMX), in 2012. One of the first precious metals exchanges in the world, SGPMX is the only online exchange in the world, where individuals can trade in physical precious metals i.e. selected gold and silver bullion, with the same ease and security as trading in financial instruments.
Jeffrey Koit is a firm advocate of positioning Human Capital Management as a key strategy WITHIN the domain of corporate strategy. In this capacity as the principal driver of Human Capital Management at SGPMX, Jeffrey is always at the forefront of pushing towards unleashing the power from within the individual – to the end that the employee is able to realize his full potential and rise to greater heights and at the same time giving his employer the deliverables and results in the short, medium and long term. Mr Koit held the positions of Group Head, Human Resource, in an Education Group (Malaysia), Senior Vice President, Human Resource, in an Investment Bank (Malaysia) and HR Director in a Retail company (Singapore & Malaysia) in his 24 years of Human Resource generalist practice. Besides his corporate roles, Jeffrey has also been in HR Consulting positions providing HR Strategy Consulting solutions/interventions in Malaysia, Cambodia and Tanzania to various corporate clients within the Banking and Financial industry, MNCs and SMEs. He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Divinity and a Masters in Business Administration – with emphasis in Blue Ocean Strategy. Jeffrey is also certified in Performance Coaching (JMS/ICF, USA); Franklin Covey's 7 Habits of Highly Effective People; Australia-Wide Business Training Pty Ltd (AWBT) and MindWorks.
Chris Gan has many years of experience in investments, having also worked as an investment analyst early on in his career, and also as a corporate consultant. He spent the last few years specializing in the area of wealth management with two local banks. In addition, he has lectured on investments and finance at two established universities: in New Zealand (Lincoln University) and Australia (Monash University, Sunway campus). As a regular columnist for the Edge's Personal Money magazine from 2000 – 2004, he contributed to educating the investing public on investment techniques. He has written numerous articles on unit trusts and investing, which have been published extensively in professional journals and publications such as UT Today, The Edge Weekly, and 4Es. Chris is the author of four books: ‘How to Sell Unit Trust and Why People Buy', 'What You Need to Know About Structured Products' and "Getting Started in Investment: A Smart Guide", and "Silver: What You Need to Know to Get Started". He is also regular speaker and trainer for professional bodies like the Federation of Investment Managers Malaysia (FIMM). During his tenure at his previous bank, Chris was the key subject matter expert on gold investments and was instrumental in driving the sales for their gold investment account (GIA) through client presentations and marketing roadshows.
Richard has been in the Financial Services industry for almost 20 years covering Insurance, Mutual Funds, Stockbroking, Investment Banking, Fund Management, Real Estate Investment and Commodities. Through his career in Investment Banking, he successfully arranged for companies seeking IPO listings, M&A and fund raising activities, through his network of corporate and private clients spread throughout Malaysia and Singapore. Richard served as the Managing Director of a Fund Management company in the Singapore office of a Swiss Banking Group. Before that, he served as CEO of a stockbroking group with 8 branches throughout Malaysia and prior to that he was with three other Malaysian investment banks. He started his career in the capital markets when he was first attached to the International Private Client Group of the Malaysian Merrill Lynch operations for five years. He holds a Bachelor of Business in Business Administration majoring in Management from RMIT University, Australia.
